Thai vegetable stew or known by the local as "Tom Jap Chai" is basically boiled mixed vegetable soup. The chosen vegetables are usually of Chinese origin such as chinese and western cabbages, tofu, white raddish, leeks, celery, coriander, bean thread noodles, kale and mushrooms. This is by no means a vegetarian dish as meats can be added, especially pork belly.
