Pla Kao Sam Rod is a fried grouper topped with three tastes of sauces which are sweet, sour and spicy sauce in one. The sweet comes from sugar cane, when the sour is from tamarin juice, along with chopped fresh red chili which makes the sauce spicy.

Other kinds of fish can be used to do the exact same dish, just in case the restaurants run out of grouper.
