Kanom Kao Taen ขนมข้าวแต๋น
Traditionally, because Thai families have rice farms and they have a belief that throwing left over rice is a sin, so they invented the way to perserve and that was when KanomKaoTaen was created. By frying the sticky rice in vegatable oil, then topping it with sugar cane syrup.
