Famous the whole world, it doesn't need to be introduced anymore. The mint tea is the first ambassador of the cuisine and the art of living of Morocco.
The base is green tea, add a handful of fresh mint and a good amount of sugar (very sweet tea). Everything is put into a special teapot, sprinkled with boiling water and then put back on the fire to allow the mint and the tea to disseminate all their flavors. On occasions, the preparation can be done at the table, according to a well established ceremonial and with an authentic moroccan tea set. (see pictures)
The mint tea is not only drunk during meals, but throughout the day.
