Sheep festival
Sheep festival
During this fest, Muslim families sacrifice an animal (usually a sheep, but it can be replaced by a goat, a cow or a camel).
The sheep feast called "Aid El Kebir" in Morocco (which means the big party in opposition with the "Eid Al-Fitr" -the end of the ramadan- called "Eid Al-Saghir" which means the party ) is the most important feast of Islam.r
r
Part of the meat is intended to donation (often the quarter of the meat) and the rest is consumed in the following days and/or kept in the freezer or salted and dried (see "Cordas", "Gueddid" and "Khlii ") to be consumed later in the year.
